We reluctantly left Cizur Menor, keeping to our standard mode of operation of being the last people to leave the refugio (my fault - I'm slow in the mornings and I need to eat). Tim and I had to be patient with each other in order to get along with my slow mornings, my need for lots of snacks, my need to stop in the bushes a lot - and Tim's need for caffeine and the ever fussing with his boot laces! ;^) We got along quite well all things considered. As we got fitter, Tim's pace increased to match the pace I wanted to walk at, and we found that even with all our combined delays we often passed people who left much earlier than we did in the mornings, resulting in us getting beds in most places we were aiming for. Good thing I'm not competitive, eh?

Here we are doing the pilgrim tourist thing, posing by pilgrim cutouts. On the hillsides nearby there are windmills (but you can't see them in this pic).
