May 11th we caught the train from Barcelona to Pamplona. When we got to Pamplona we found out there weren't any buses to Roncevalles until the next day. This fellow also wanted to get to Roncevalles to start walking the camino, so we split a cab with him. We had a beer with him in Roncevalles, hoping to grab another cab to St. Jean Pied de Port which is where we wanted to start walking from. Taxis between villages/towns are amazingly cheap in Spain, and trains are also very inexpensive.
