We did a side trip to the Giant Steps - cool looking sizable blocks of rock with waterfalls. The north side of the Paradise Valley loop was closed, so we continued our hike by backtracking to the south side, hiking for about 4km through forest to Lake Annette. I thought this stretch was boring, but Tim liked it. Lake Annette and about the next 1km beyond, is stunning. It would have been nice to hang out here longer and have a nap, but we still had quite a way to hike to get back to the 2nd car.
